I have spent many years working in field of psychology supporting adults and adolescents with a variety of mental health difficulties. My experience is varied from working within HMP Dartmoor Prison Service, Private Psychology company, Cornwall Council’s Clinical Psychology and Jigsaw Service, before training as a counsellor. My counselling journey began working with survivors of trauma specifically domestic abuse and sexual violence before moving on to providing counselling within the NHS and supporting individuals with anxiety and depression.
I have over a decade of experience working in a trauma-informed way and supporting those who have experienced a wide variety of issues, some of which include:
- Emotional difficulties
- Suicidal thoughts & Self-harm
- Attachment and relationships
- Trauma
- Abuse
- Anxiety & Depression
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ( BACP ), and I have full professional liability insurance and an enhanced DBS check.
In addition to supporting and helping others, I have a passion for animals, specifically horses and dogs, and being outside in nature. I find being on the beaches and by the sea incredibly therapeutic and restorative.
